But in February, Rojas quit her job as an office administrator. She was disgusted that hyperinflation and the collapse of Venezuela's currency had rendered her wages nearly worthless. Rojas points out that nearly half of the 149 people in her office have walked off the job. "I could no longer suppo... more »

3 Reasons Israel Would Start a Nuclear War

Apart from some worrying moments during the Yom Kippur War, the Israeli government has never seriously considered using those weapons. Diversity propaganda and reeducation workshops

Norma at Collecting My Thoughts - 3 hours ago
If you watched much TV, you'd assume that 30% of the population is LGBTQ (it’s about 2%) and that white men were all abusers and losers. "Entertainment" has become diversity reeducation. Of course, if you watch old movies on TV, you'd see that Indians talked funny and scalped people, blacks were servants who loved to dance, and that women wanted to be punched and slapped. So maybe entertainment isn't the best place to learn values--it was wrong then, and wrong now. https://troymedia.com/2018/05/10/entertainment-diversity-propaganda/

The ancient Athenians both elevated and suspected a democratic ideal of citizens’ full participation in the polis through that form of communication known as rhetoric (note that citizens were a privileged few in Athenian society). Simultaneously, many citizens and philosophers doubted the capacity for public reason, fearing that the polis would be corrupted by sophistry as rhetoric was suborned to self-serving intentions. Today these same concerns prevail, as evident in the articulation and framing of fake news as the central problem of western democracy. What I think is intere... more »
