A Crime Syndicate Head, Foreign Agent, Harridan President?

Charles R. Anderson, Ph.D. at An Objectivist Individualist - 41 minutes ago
Hillary Clinton is the worst major party presidential candidate in my lifetime, with the possible exception of Obama. The first election of Obama at least came with a built-in excuse for those of a lame mind and irresponsible nature. Those who make no real effort to learn about the candidate for whom they vote could claim him as an unknown. Of course they could not make the same excuse in 2012. Hillary is a decades long known collectivist, personal power luster, and criminal and crime abettor. She is now known also as the thief of government e-mails, a paid (through the Clinton... more »

"Life is a strange thing. Why this longing for life? It is a game which no man wins. To live is to toil hard and to suffer sore, till old age creeps heavily upon us and we throw down our hands on the cold ashes of dead fires. It is hard to live. In pain the babe sucks his first breath, in pain the old man gasps his last, and all his days are full of trouble and sorrow; yet he goes down to the open arms of death, stumbling, falling, with head turned backward, fighting to the last. And death is kind. It is only life and the things of life that hurt. Yet we love life and we hate death... more »

Fixing the Poison of American Politics - Cleaning Up Redistricting

That probably puts me in a minority of people who voted for both Bush and Obama. If patriotism were used to do what is best for our country, it would be admirable. But that almost never happens. Instead, patriotism is manipulated to justify the killing and looting of other countries to benefit the very wealthy. That's what empires are all about. I thought of that as I read about Mr. Khan, who is now campaigning for Hillary Clinton. Mr. Khan is the man whose son was an American soldier who was killed in Iraq. Mr. Khan, and his family, are Muslim. He joined the Hillary Clinton election team to criticize Mr. Trump for his verbal attacks on Muslims. Hand on heart... more »

The aesthetic discussions are unavoidably subjective to some extent and people's differences cannot be completely settled. The ongoing war on the British motorist (part 2) - Motorists face 'zero tolerance' approach to speeding on the motorways

'Radical revenue raising proposals by Befordshire Police and Crime Commissioner means all drivers breaking the speed limit will be fined All drivers who travel at more than 70 miles per hour on the motorway face being fined under radical new proposals being considered. Speed cameras would be switched on permanently across stretches of the motorway network catching everyone who exceeded the limit. Motorists would then be forced to pay a £100 fine as well as having points added to their licence, or could opt instead to attend a speed awareness course, costing £90. But rather than b... more »

The ongoing war on the British motorist (part 1) - Speeding tickets on 'smart motorways' rise sharply

'The introduction of smart motorways has seen a big rise in speeding fines, figures obtained by the BBC suggest. Between 2010 and 2015, fixed penalties issued on smart sections increased from 2,000 to 52,000, according to data collated by the BBC's The One Show. There are more than 236 miles of smart motorways in England, which use the hard shoulder and variable speed limits to control traffic flow. The government says they are used to improve capacity, not generate revenue.' Remember that last line, as I'll post something shortly that gives the partial lie to that. More here h... more »

What i find interesting about Tyre is its founding date of 2750 BC. this is important because we have essentially policed up enough data to know that the high point of the Atlantean world was reached in 2400 BC or 390 years later. Serious trade was all conducted by sea and Tyre became a source of quality wood and dyes from shellfish. Add in the nearby Minoan world and the Egyptian Delta and we have a tight local shipping culture and real security from the beginning. That same sea culture became global by 2400 BC. Its actual center of gravity was surely... more »

Clues later, if no-one gets them all, or any. *UPDATE 1*: First question has been answered, by both Don and PM of NZ: This is Otuataua Stonefields on the Manukau Harbour at Ihumatao, Mangere – all alone and deserted on a sunny Sunday afternoon when the place has been in the news all month. A journalist has accidentally filmed herself getting shot with a rubber bullet while interviewing a peaceful protester. Via Anti Media: North Dakota — In the ongoing standoff between Native American water protectors and the Dakota Access Pipeline, the presence of militarized law enforcement has become an everyday occurrence. As such, it came as no surprise Wednesday when riot gear-clad police held the line at the edge of Cantapeta Creek as protesters attempted... more »

*You can check out the Election Day special to end all Election Day specials here.* *by Ken* Since, barring unforeseen developments, this is my last post before Election Day -- but lucky me, I'm gonna hafta find something to say in the rubbble of the Day After -- and even if I have anything more to say on the subject I don't see any point in trying to say it, I'm going to go with my favorite election *envoi*, as pictured above. The Best Thanksgiving Books for Children

Debra Hawkins at Housewife Eclectic - 1 day ago
There are lots of lists for Christmas books, but not as many for Thanksgiving Books. To often we gloss over this holiday when it really has so much to offer. These Thanksgiving books are some of my very favorite. Most of them involve pilgrims because my mom loves the pilgrims and these are the books she read to us when we were growing up! Have any to add to my list? Leave a comment with them! Molly's Pilgrim by Barbara Cohen - Molly and her family moved to America from Russia to escape religious persecution. Edmondo Burr at Your News Wire - 1 day ago
DNC hacker Guccifer 2.0 claims American election results could be easily manipulated by Democrats because of poor software installed in Federal Election Commission networks. Guccifer 2.0 has taken responsibility for hacking into nearly 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails and other documents that were distributed over the summer by WikiLeaks. The hacker says that he is already inside the system and asks fellow hackers to join him and monitor the US elections for fraud. Anti Media reports: Earlier today, after a two week silence, Guccifer 2.0 reemerged, with a post on his bl... more »

Donald Trump: Candidate Y2K16

Karen Garcia at Sardonicky - 1 day ago
Remember the late 90s, when everybody was in a tizzy over the imminent end of the world because the geeks hadn't fixed the clocks in computers? And remember how we woke up on January 1, 2000 to an intense hangover of continuing life, our money still in the bank, electricity still thrumming through the grid.. and most important of all, intact and crystal clear cell phone and Internet connections? This time around, the disaster hysteria revolves around the very slim chance that a different kind of virus known as Donald J. Trump will usher in Armageddon. If Trump is elected, Putin ... more »

FBI: Hillary Clinton Gave Housemaid Classified Material

Sean Adl-Tabatabai at Your News Wire - 1 day ago
Hillary Clinton regularly asked her housemaid to print out emails containing sensitive and highly classified information, according to the FBI. Clinton’s maid, Marina Santos, was routinely ordered to print out top-secret classified information, even though she lacked the necessary security clearance. According to the New York Post, Santos worked for Clinton in her home in Washington, DC, and was so frequently exposed to classified information that the FBI and Congress are considering issuing a subpoena to her as part of their ongoing email investigation. Clinton routinely asked S... more »

UPDATED: US Election, The Gathering Storm

greencrow at Greencrow As The Crow Flies - 1 day ago
*UPDATED: November 6, 2016* Things are happening very fast now folks. Comey has come out again and cleared Hillary of any malfeasance over the new 650,000 e-mails discovered last week....very quick "verdict" after sitting on previous e-mails for over a year. Most disturbing of all is this op ed by Finian Cunningham which suggests that the Deep State could cause a cyber False Flag on Election Day which they will blame on Russia to: 1) nullify a Trump Victory; and 2) start a war with Russia. IMO this [a False Flag EMP attack] is extremely likely and there was even a "drill" a week... more »

Terrorists Targeting Russia in Syria - As Planned

*November 4, 2016* (Joseph Thomas - NEO) - Russian forces operating in Syria upon Damascus' request have met several close calls during military and humanitarian missions over the past two months. In late October, Syrian and Russian organised humanitarian corridors came under heavy fire in Aleppo in a brazen attempt by Western-backed militants to prevent civilians from crossing over into government-controlled western Aleppo. Dan Rivers of UK-based ITV would say in an October 20 Tweet: *Buses ready to 'evacuate' civilians from east - so far no one has crossed. A rebel mortar just la... more »

"A modern apocalypse will be upon us"

Craig at Is the BBC biased? - 1 day ago
Some of you will have heard Adam Gopnik's remarkable *A Point of View *this week. Beginning with talk of tolerance and pluralism it quickly became the most sustained and vituperative hate-letter to Donald Trump that the BBC has surely ever put out. It was proudly one-sided and highly bracing. "Donald Trump runs on vanity and hate, and vanity and hate alone" was one of its milder lines and "a modern apocalypse will be upon us" (if Trump wins) was its climax. It was like one of those no-holds-barred *YouTube *rants that get posted across sites like this, but from the opposite side... more »

Newsweek To Ship Thousands Of Clinton Victory ‘Special Edition’

Thousands of copies of a Newsweek magazine claiming a Hillary Clinton victory have been printed in readiness to ship to newsstands and stores. Stacks of boxes with the Special Edition ‘Madam President’ cover depicting Hillary Clinton winning the U.S. presidential race next week were secretly photographed by a Newsweek employee who says that there were no Trump versions made. The find proves that the media, in collusion with the Clinton campaign, have planned for a Hillary victory all along. The Battle For The Iraqi City Of Mosul -- News Updates November 6, 2016

*Al Jazeera*: *Advance into heart of Mosul slows as ISIL fights back* Iraqi army says advance slowed as ISIL hit back with suicide bombers and snipers and civilians are threatened. Iraq's special forces worked to fully push a fiercely resisting ISIL from neighborhoods on Mosul's eastern edge while bombings killed at least 11 people elsewhere in the country. Deflection tactics

Craig at Is the BBC biased? - 1 day ago
Hadar at *BBC Watch *has written an important piece about a World Service programme on "anti-Semitism in Europe", following up on the Islamist terrorist attack on the Jewish Museum in Brussels in 2014. The WS programme, *On Background*, co-hosted by James Harding, the BBC's Director of News (no less), featured a report from Kevin Connolly, and then a joint interview with Kevin Connolly and novelist Howard Jacobson. Very oddly, however, Kevin Connolly's report gave no clue whatsoever that the suspect (Mehdi Nemmouche) is a Muslim or that there was an Islamist motive for the antis... more »

Why Isn't Gun Safety More Of An Issue This Cycle?

DownWithTyranny at DownWithTyranny! - 1 day ago
When Blue America polled issues that would motivate suburban voters to support our progressive candidates around the country, we found gun safety high on every list in every single district. Based on that, two of our mobile billboards, on in NV-04 (North Las Vegas) and one in NY-02 (Long Island's South Shore), are all about gun safety. The DCCC has talked a good game on this but DCCC head Ben Ray Lujan is a quiet backer of gun groups and is one of the few Democrats in the House still taking bribes from gun manufacturers and their lobbyists. The DCCC recruited and is spending mill... more »

A Final Analysis of the Socorro Symbol

KRandle at A Different Perspective - 1 day ago
It is time to put the controversy about the symbol Lonnie Zamora saw to rest. The preponderance of the evidence suggests that Zamora saw what I have begun to call the “umbrella” symbol. I say that based on the “official” Project Blue Book files, what those investigators, the civilians that include Coral and Jim Lorenzen and Ray Stanford and even Rick Baca said in the days after the sighting and what was printed in some of the newspapers and in the *APRO Bulletin*. Although I have gone over this before, I will repeat it here. In the minutes after the sighting, according to the test... more »
