Allan Buckman is the President and co-founder of Microbe tech, a Nevada-based bio-remediation company. A former wildlife biologist and environmental scientist with the California Department of Fish & Game, Allan's 38-year career has given him crucial insight into environmental stress and the decline of ecosystems.

In Allan's presentation at the 60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference at the United Nations (New York) in 2007, he spoke about the role of pollution in an ever-increasing plant death problem related to the "persistent jet clouds" we now associate with stratospheric aerosol geo-engineering operations (chem-trail spraying) and discussed a bio-restoration alternative. In his speech, Allan corroborates the data presented in What In The World Are They Spraying?, saying:

"The fallout contains aluminum, strontium, radium, boron, and many more metals, all of which have been documented in every drinking water supply in California and Arizona since about 1987. They only way that could happen is from air application, but no explanations are available."

The time for skepticism is over: whatever the purpose of these operations, they are destroying the planet. Tune in as Allan discusses the impact of aerosol geo-engineering on all life.

In a ghoulish mystery, an unknown beast is terrorizing Kentucky farmers as it attacks their livestock, tearing parts from the animals but not eating them. The residents of rural Shelby County have no idea what is stalking their livestock in the night. 'I heard the goat, the dogs going off and I ran out there and looked and saw the goat laying on the ground,' said Kevin Cox, an area farmer who's had one animal fall victim to an attack. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2251877/It-indescribable-Mysterious-animal-terrorizes-farmers-mutilates-livestock-middle-night.html

Mental illness, medications and school shootings: Preventing another Sandy Hook

While sensible gun regulations are in order, addressing the root causes of the mass shootings is more important if real preventative measures are to be taken. What caused the gunmen to act is more relevant in terms of prevention than the weapons used. Thorium has attracted a lot of attention for several excellent reasons and the one cited here is a concern and not well understood but otherwise it is a management issue. The true value of the Thorium reactor is that it can be used to reduce uranium and its daughters into a safe end product while producing power. That one such reduction does lead to an isotope suitable for weapons manufacture is still minor when compared to Uranium itself. That it can be done in a modest lab merely tells us that aggressive enforcement is necessary. Yet that is a small price to pay in ord... more »

The reality is that folks have been keeping inappropriate large cats as pets for as long as it has been possible. In England, that surely goes back to even Roman times. That leads inevitably to a release simply because the same impulse to keep a pet always makes it almost impossible to take responsibility to put it down when it becomes necessary. What is not likely is a sustainable breeding population and we have slim evidence of that. Otherwise we have hungry pets who easily revert to instinct and will generally thrive however unlikely you may think that to be. There is ... more »

Vegetable Waste to Zero Waste

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 9 hours ago
If there is a lesson to be learned it is that waste management success is first about good management. This is a fine demonstration of just that. It also informs that there is no excuse for doing less. What is most intriguing is that focusing on the vegetable waste nicely eliminates the deleterious effects of land fills generally while producing a useful byproduct. Starting with vegetable wastes is actually a good idea simply because it makes it easier for the private sector to reduce the remainder for recycling. It also makes it easier for the municipality to operate a pi... more »

Subsea UFOs

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 9 hours ago
This is a detailed report covering two prominent cases in which UFOs operate underwater. As I have posted before, it is creditable that space adapted mankind would establish subsea access to underground cities already on Earth. Here we get a pile of data that conforms totally to that conjecture. Of particular note is the museum which is likely more than conventional preservation and possibly an example of stasis. I observe that the ice is not remarked on as particularly cold. It is also noted that the observers are handled by human beings. As important, we get a valid de... more »

Jennifer Ouellette wrote a nice piece on black hole firewalls for the Simons Foundation and for Scientific American: Black Hole Firewalls Confound Theoretical Physicists (via Synch). Well, more precisely, it's nice and informative if you assume that her task was to uncritically promote the views of Joe Polchinski, Leonard Susskind, Raphael Bousso, and a few others. From a more objective viewpoint, the article's main message is wrong and the text misinterprets the state of the research, too. Over the last decade or so, my great respect for some of the most famous names in high-energ... more »

An EU 'iTax' Is Not The Answer

The UK government have announced that they are to finally acknowledge the right of individuals to copy material for the own use. We have all done it. We have all copied a file from one format to another , or from one device to another in order that we can play it as we want to , on the device we want to, or store it logically with other files. Today that is illegal in the UK, but tomorrow it will be finally addressed. However, in addressing it we face many further interpretations and fine detail. It will not allow encrypted files to be unlocked so in fact could be said to be fur... more »

Mass shootings lift gun sales, data shows

The sinking of "Plan B"; the U.S. "fiscal cliff" disaster of John Boehner

Lynsey at The Coming Crisis - 10 hours ago
Had there been a vote on Republican House Speaker John Boehner's "Plan B" to avert the so-called U.S. fiscal cliff on Thursday night, it would not have been close. He was probably 40 to 50 votes short of the number he needed to avoid a humiliating defeat at the hands of his own party, according to rough estimates from Republican members of Congress and staff members. It was not for lack of effort. Boehner and his two top deputies, Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy, along with other House Republican leaders, tried for three days to muster support for the measure, which would have cut g... more »

The installation of Patriot anti-missile batteries sent by NATO members to bolster Turkey's defenses against a possible missile attack from Syria will only harm Turkey's security, Iran's defense minister was quoted as saying on Saturday. An Egyptian constitution drafted by Islamists is expected to be approved in a referendum on Saturday after the charter, which opponents say will create deeper turmoil, won approval in a first wave of voting a week ago. The opposition have already cried foul, saying a litany of abuses means last Saturday's ballot, involving about half the electorate, should be re-run. But the committee overseeing the two-stage vote said their investigations showed no major irregularities that would invalidate the process. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/12/21/us-egypt-politics-idUSBRE8BJ0JB20121221

Scientists discover multiple avian influenza strains in Chinese Pigs

Scientists recently reported on the seroprevalence of strains of avian influenza viruses found in pigs kept in southern China. The analyzed viruses do not include the H5N1 strain. The researchers believe their study could have major public health implications in efforts to limit the potential damage caused by a pandemic in humans, according to ScienceDaily.com. Swine can be infected by both human and avian influenza viruses, and are therefore believed to be important sources of the kind of genetic reassortment that can result in a pandemic. America's most powerful gun lobby has defended the use of firearms and argued that armed guards could have prevented the Sandy Hook school shooting. NRA's Absurd Scapegoating of Violent Movies, Video Games Doesn't Hold Up to Scrutiny

One down side of living at The Land is little or no Internet, so no blog updates. But not much has happened this week: worked half-days Monday and Tuesday, a whole lot of nothing Wednesday and Thursday (the plan was to mud and tape and sand the Sunset Room but it was just too cold) and errands and bowling with the gang on Friday. But tomorrow Southern Man and Southern Son drive north to pick up Teen Daughter the Younger for her Saturday-to-Saturday Christmas visit!

Persons of the Year? But What Year?

That is just one of the reasons why they voted for their man; another is that their man held out the promise of turning back the clock to at least the 1950s -- or, as comic Andy Borowitz says in this piece, 1912.
