After buying a 2011 closeout special Gio E Bike on Kijiji - the Vancouver based auction is over now for Red Deer and a sales agent has taken over - I was curious about the latest available iteration on a more family size variant.... a rickshaw for 2012.
 JX T-01 or Pedillac
While the T-01 wins the wow factor hands down, I am distracted by  considerations of what might happen in a good blow ; light weight, low power, high profile. Tumbleweeds.
For comparison, I believe the Gio is 74kg with a 150kg1 payload, rather than the 68kg and 100kg2 I have seen elsewhere, ( 330lbs1  and 220 lbs2 ) and 32kph ( 20 mph) top speed and 60km ( 37 miles ) est range ( very estimated ; so far I would not like to depend on doing much more than half that without added pedaling even at 350 watts, going by instrument readings ) and a pronounced speed wobble on takeoff moderated by sitting on the front part of the seat ( motorbikes use friction dampers to combat this ). And yes - it is fun - though I find myself mostly using the lower draw 350 watt motor and gliding along. I weigh about 100 kg and have had grandkids along...who all want one

The Aptera did not even rate a footnote
